Terms of Service

§ 1 Scope and provider

These terms govern the use of the "Medina Camps Community" (community.medina-camps.com). Provider: Medina Camps, Jabir Bin Subh Al-Rasibi 3489, 42314 Madinah, Saudi-Arabien ("we"). The Community Rules apply in addition.

§ 2 Service

The community is a free Arabic learning platform (vocabulary trainer, quiz, flashcards, audio mode, vocabulary game, gamification with XP). There is no entitlement to constant availability or to particular features; we continuously develop the platform and may change or discontinue features. Paid Medina Camps courses are not covered by these terms.

§ 3 Registration and account

• Registration requires a minimum age of 16; younger persons need the consent of a parent or guardian.
• All registration details must be truthful. Only one account per person is permitted.
• Keep your credentials secret; you are responsible for activity via your account.

§ 4 Gender declaration and gender-separated areas

Out of respect for the religious practice of our members, parts of the community are gender-separated (e.g. game matches, future chat areas). Declaring your gender at registration is therefore mandatory, cannot be changed later and must be truthful.

Deliberately misstating your gender seriously violates the trust and protected spaces of the community and leads to permanent exclusion (§ 8).

§ 5 XP and virtual rewards

XP, streaks and similar elements exist solely for learning motivation. They have no monetary value, are non-transferable and create no claims. In case of manipulation we may correct or remove points.

§ 6 User obligations

The Community Rules apply. Prohibited in particular: harassment and insults, discriminatory or unlawful content, spam and unauthorised advertising, circumventing technical safeguards, automated access, and sharing third parties' personal data without their consent.

§ 7 Your content

You are responsible for content you submit (e.g. your vocabulary, display name). You grant us the simple, free right to store and technically process this content as far as necessary to operate the platform.

§ 8 Sanctions and exclusion

In case of violations we may – depending on severity – remove content, issue warnings, temporarily suspend or permanently exclude the account. Serious violations (in particular misstating your gender, § 4) lead to permanent exclusion without prior warning; the right to create a new account lapses.

§ 9 Liability

We are liable without limit for intent, gross negligence and injury to life, body or health. In cases of slight negligence we are liable only for the breach of essential contractual obligations, limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. Otherwise liability is excluded. The platform is provided free of charge; no warranty is given for the accuracy of learning materials.

§ 10 Term and termination

You may delete your account at any time without giving reasons. We may terminate the user relationship with two weeks' notice; termination for good cause (esp. § 8) remains unaffected.

§ 11 Changes to these terms

We may amend these terms with effect for the future where required by legal changes, new features or security. We will announce material changes in the app or by e-mail; if you do not object within four weeks, the new terms are deemed accepted. The notice will point out the right to object and its consequences.

§ 12 Final provisions

German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of habitual residence remain unaffected. If individual provisions are invalid, the remainder stays effective. The German version of these terms prevails.
